ROY BLAIR ANNOUNCES LONG-AWATED ALBUM ‘CHASING MOVING TRAINS’ WITH NEW SINGLE
Celebrated alt-pop singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer Roy Blair returns with the sprawling new single “Panavision”. Listen HERE via Warner Records. Boasting vivid, visceral lyrics over lush chords and drum and bass production, the track is featured on the unique artist’s long-awaited new album, Chasing Moving Trains, which arrives November 1st via Warner Records.
After four years of meticulous crafting, Roy has emerged with his highly anticipated album showcasing his unique ability to both produce and to blend anthemic hooks with progressive, experimental instrumentation. Chasing Moving Trains conceptually follows Roy in multiple countries, as he searches in his mid 20’s for self-discovery and the ever-elusive sense of fulfillment. A triumphant return that eludes genre, the album is an exploration of sound where his ideas and lyrics create a cohesive and evocative body of work. Roy says of the album.

On “Panavision,” his first song-release in half a decade, Blair touches on the downside of sudden fame and the subsequent emotional rollercoaster. The track’s introspective themes and emotionally charged energy are reflected in the video, which finds Blair performing in a dark room with flickering lights. As the exhilarating bridge approaches, rain pours down for a powerful reprise. That imagery is intercut with footage from a studio session.
“Panavision” concludes Blair’s 5-year hiatus from music. In 2019, he released the cult classic EP Graffiti as well as Graffiti: A Mix By Roy Blair, a collection of impressive B-sides. The project was recently rereleased on digital streaming platforms to celebrate its 5-year anniversary. Before that, Blair dropped his debut album, Cat Heaven, in 2017, which garnered over 100 million streams. The release included his hit single “Thunder,” a mesmerizing mix of soul influences and sparkling pop sensibilities.
Now, with the release of “Panavision” and his eagerly anticipated new album, Chasing Moving Trains, on the horizon, Blair embarks upon a new chapter that promises to be just as defiant and inspiring as the last.
