SHAWN MENDES KICKS OFF NORTH AMERICAN LEG OF ON THE ROAD AGAIN WITH SOLD OUT SHOW AT BOSTON’S TD GARDEN
Multi-platinum, GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes kicked off the North American leg of his On The Road Againwith a sold out show in Boston, MA at TD Garden. The set list featured “Why Why Why” and fan favorites “Treat You Better” and “Mercy”.
The North American leg of the tour will stop in Toronto, Montréal, New York, Chicago, Vancouver, and San Francisco before closing the run at the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 17th. Eddie Benjamin joins Shawn as opener for this run of shows. Tickets are available now at http://www.shawnmendesofficial.com/live. The performances will continue to feature a showstopping set celebrating his biggest hits from the last ten years. About the shows, Shawn wrote, “I feel like time away has allowed me to come back and recognize and remember how unbelievably special it is to get to play live shows. It’s an honour and I’m just beyond grateful that you guys keep showing up after 10 years with so much love.”
The European leg of the On The Road Again tour, which wrapped in August, stopped in cities including Kraków, London, Amsterdam, and Madrid. His shows earned critical acclaim, with Wonderland praising that “Shawn Mendes’ return to the stage felt less like just another pop concert and more like a carefully orchestrated homecoming, delivered with the kind of charisma and energy that reminds you why he’s been a pop powerhouse for over a decade.” Shawn also showed off his touring prowess earlier this year when he headlined Lollapalooza in India, Argentina, Chile and Brazil.
Along the way, Shawn and the Shawn Mendes Foundation have continued their partnership with Playing For Change Foundation, supporting local music education programs with grants and opportunities for young musicians in each market. Additionally, a portion of merch proceeds at Canadian shows will support Mendes’ ongoing partnership with The Wonder of Music Music Therapy Program at SickKids Hospital in Toronto.
