VEGYN DROPS “HALO FLIP” FEAT LAUREN AUDER

Vegyn shares a brand new single and video, “Halo Flip” featuring critically acclaimed British-French singer-songwriter and record producer Lauren Auder.

The track is a voyage back through time; bound up in tight grooves, vintage electronica, cinematic ambience and emotional, reflective lyrics interspersed by hits of nostalgic vocal idents – reminiscent of noughties radio mixes and old school rips from LimeWire.

“Halo Flip came about from a desire to make something that truly felt larger than life. Loraine [James] and I were playing around in a session and settled on these chords via the Arp Solina. The song immediately had this grandiose nature to it and I knew straight away it was special. Lauren came in a few days later and added her parts bringing the whole thing together. A few months of gentle tweaking and arranging brought about the song you are hearing now. Ultimately it’s a track about returning home, about always being welcome and about never being forgotten by the people that matter most.” Vegyn

Lauren Auder adds; “The song is about friends, about the relationships that serve as scaffolding to our lives. The care that often goes unspoken and more often still unsung about.”

The new track follows “‘Makeshift Tourniquet”, Vegyn’s debut album Only Diamonds Cut Diamonds and the 71 track mixtape Text While Driving If You Want to Meet God! (both 2019), the ODCD Alt Versions EP in 2020, and another epic mixtape – the 75 track Don’t Follow Me Because I’m Lost Too!!

Lauren Auder is a British-French singer-songwriter, record producer and composer who’s baroquely orchestrated pop songs implore a Classical lens to contemporary themes of Gen Z discontent. Fusing the classical with the post-rock and popular song structure, Auder paints vivid musical portraits situated in a novel medium between Lorde and Woodkid. She is a go-to for sync writing for fashion brands such as Louis Vuitton, Celine, and Marni, and has collaborated with such artists as Celeste, HAIM, Boris, and Slowthai.
