“The visible effect made on a surface by pressure”

Today New York based singer, songwriter and producer Amber Mark releases her brand new single ‘Generous’ via PMR/Virgin/Interscope Records. Produced by Julian Bunetta and co-written by Amber, ‘Generous’ is a woozy, bumping bedroom jam laced with strings sampled from Henry Mancini’s ‘Lujon’ and arriving just in time for Valentine’s Day.

“’Generous’ is an introduction to a new realm of energy I’ve been working off of for some time now” says Amber; “It expresses a side of myself I hinted at in my most recent EP Conexão. Working with Julian Bunetta I had been wanting to sample Henry Mancini for a very long time. So happy we were able to make a song that feels both sensual and elegant. Perfect for the strip club or afternoon tea, get you a song that can do both hunty!”

‘Generous’ comes hot on the heels of a stellar 2019 for Amber that saw her rack up over 100 million combined streams, play Pitchfork Festival and Governor’s Ball and have singles ‘Mixer’ and ‘What If’ playlisted at BBC 1Xtra, while ‘Mixer’ was named one of NPR’s Best Songs of 2019. ‘Generous’ is the first single to be taken from Amber’s debut album, due later this year, and with a Coachella slot already confirmed and many more highlights yet to be announced, 2020 is set to be even brighter.
