Returning to his physical roots in the U.K., acclaimed genre-bending artist Bakar (aka Abubakar Baker Shariff-Farr) delves into themes of a fleeing love, self-pursuit, and home in his inaugural single of 2025 entitled “Searching”, out now via Bad Habit/ADA Worldwide.

Exploring the surrounding landscapes near his childhood home in Camden, the alternative juggernaut shares more than just a nod to his upbringing as exemplified by the tasteful flaunts of British Pounds covered by the gloves of his favorite local football club, Arsenal, or even the subtle, “recorded live in London” BGVs towards the latter end of the song.
