All Points East and American Express today announce a very special Amex Afters coming this summer, headlined by Barry Can’t Swim (DJ Set) on Saturday 22 August at Colour Factory in East LondonIrish producer SHEE will join as special guest, with many more to be announced. This is the only official afterparty to be held post his own show down the road at All Points East in Victoria Park – his first ever major festival headline slot.

Amex Afters is a series of exclusive experiences curated around the biggest events in entertainment, keeping the vibe alive for fans beyond the main event. This year’s Amex Afters with Barry Can’t Swim follows the huge success of previous events including TEMS in 2024, and in 2023, Little Simz at Village Underground.

Barry Can’t Swim is a force in electronic music, known for blending house, afrobeat, and jazz influences into his dynamic sound. From his breakout EP Amor Fati to the 2022 hit ‘Fiorucci Made Me Hardcore’, Barry has built a reputation for pushing genre boundaries while maintaining an infectious, melodic approach. His highly anticipated debut (and Mercury Prize nominated) album When Will We Land? arrived in September 2024, and slotted him front and centre in the electronic music scene and beyond. Earlier this summer, Barry Can’t Swim released his second album, ‘Loner’ on Ninja Tune on Friday 11th July.

Amex Afters with Barry Can’t Swim offers a rare chance to catch one of the most exciting names in music in an intimate setting and keep the night going into the early hours. SHEE will join as special guest with more acts to be revealed. Born in scenic County Kerry, David Sheerin aka SHEE began making music from his bedroom, like many before him. Since then, he’s played festivals across Europe. Raised on classic house and disco, he’s released tracks via Edible Records, Part 4 Recs, &Friends and Second Phase. His music has been backed by the likes of Barry Can’t Swim, salute, TSHA, LP Giobbi, Sarah Story, Danny Howard and Young Marco.
