Captivating Raveena Unveils ‘Where the Butterflies Go in the Rain’ via Empire

Raveena has unveiled her latest album, ‘Where the Butterflies Go in the Rain’, through Empire. The album features previously launched singles such as “Junebug” with JPEGMAFIA, “Lucky”, and “Pluto”, along with a new enchanting track “Lose My Focus”. This song beautifully encapsulates the bliss of falling in love and highlights Raveena’s mesmerizing vocals. The album explores themes of fresh love, maturity, and tranquility, mirroring the serene state of mind that Raveena currently resides in.

Raveena expresses her feelings about the album, stating, “This album has been a healing journey over the past two years and has transformed my connection with music and the physical world. I have never been more certain that our bodies are merely conduits for the divine to manifest and create magic. I embarked on this album with the aim to produce a work that resonated with the warmth of sunlight and pure love. Being immersed in these sounds every day for years taught me the true essence of my body and its purpose. Music is indeed a beautiful entity.”

The album ‘Where the Butterflies Go in the Rain’ embraces the sounds of iconic artists like Fleetwood Mac, Brandy, Bob Marley, Joni Mitchell, and Marvin Gaye, among others. It draws inspiration from artists who, as Raveena puts it, “masterfully capture the beauty and loss of life in a single breath.” In her unique style, Raveena flawlessly combines this expansive songwriting with traditional Indian instruments and the upbeat vibes of early 2000s pop hits, presenting a work that is more authentically her than ever before.

In the two years since the release of ‘Asha’s Awakening’, Raveena has embarked on national and international tours, made history as the first woman of Indian heritage to perform solo at Coachella, and recently completed her Saturn Return. This period marked a time of growth, transformation, and tranquility, which is central to her latest full-length offering. Reflecting on her upcoming album, Raveena says, “I don’t think I’ve ever understood a record so well before. Unlike my previous albums where I was more anxious about delivering my best, this time, it was all about intuition, and I knew the album was right when I finally felt at rest.”
