Artist, producer, and songwriter CHINCHILLA returns with her explosive new single, “Dog Eat Dog”, the first taste of her highly anticipated independent debut album. Written by CHINCHILLA alongside Sara Boe (Flo, Anne-Marie) and produced by Mike Wise (Chappell Roan, Charli XCX), the track channels the highs and lows of surviving a relentlessly competitive industry into an unapologetic, arena-sized anthem. Blending western, pop, and a stadium sound, “Dog Eat Dog” arrives alongside a striking looping visualizer steeped in modern Western-inspired fashion.
Written during a pivotal moment in her career, “Dog Eat Dog” captures the frustration of chasing fulfillment while navigating the emotional extremes of life as an artist. Speaking about the song, CHINCHILLA says: “the song is about the frustrating feeling of being discontent & unsatisfied in both happiness and in sadness: when you’re happy there’s nothing to be dramatic, artistic or deep about and when you’re sad, it’s depressing. A three-hour venting session ended up unlocking one of my quickest writes.”
