Dom Dolla shares a new remix “Addicted To Bass (Dom Dolla Relapse)”, his take on the classic Aussie dance track “Addicted To Bass” by Puretone. The remix first debuted during his landmark headline show at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium last December, where Dom made history as the first electronic artist to headline a stadium show in his home country of Australia. A standout moment from the historic night was the surprise unveiling of the remix, a rework he’s long been eager to share, having been obsessed with the original track as a teenager.

On choosing to remix “Addicted To Bass”, Dom shares:

“This record was quite literally the soundtrack to my childhood; released in 1998, it followed me everywhere as a kid. Despite how immersive it was for me, spending a lot of time overseas as an adult, I was surprised how few of my friends were familiar with it. Fast forward to preparing for my first ever stadium show in 2025. I was toying around with a bunch of remix and edit ideas, going through an old playlist of records I loved and I just couldn’t move past it. Almost 30 years have gone by and I truly hope this new version finds an audience who connect with it in a fraction of the way that I did as a kid. The addiction is real.”

After receiving rapturous reactions from crowds across the globe, the remix earned the stamp of approval from the track’s original creators, Josh Abrahams and Amiel of Puretone. Josh shared, “This mix finds the deeper, steamier layers in the song. While staying true to the original, particularly in the chorus, Dom has brought his own dirty funk groove to the party.

Dom Dolla’s remix of “Addicted To Bass” follows a massive 2025 for the Australian DJ and producer. Recent accolades include a Grammy nomination for Best Remixed Recording for Gorillaz’ “New Gold”, five ARIA Award Wins, including the inaugural ARIA Global Impact Award, the ARIA Award-winning “Dreamin” (ft. DAYA), a Kid Cudi collaboration “Forever”, performed together at Dom’s two sold-out Madison Square Garden, and “No Room For A Saint” ft. Nathan Nicholson, written for Apple’s “F1 The Movie”.
