EBONY RILEY’s Empowering Reflection on Self-Love in New Single ‘MIRROR

The R&B Songstress Released Her Self-Titled Debut EP In 2023

Rising R&B artist Ebony Riley, signed to Riley Montana, Inc./Interscope Records, has made her 2024 debut with a soft yet empowering single titled “Mirror”. In this introspective song, Riley writes an intimate letter to herself, exploring her identity, desires, and self-worth. The track is produced by the legendary duo Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox.

The lyrics reflect Riley’s journey toward self-love and acceptance:

“Gotta be more than the sex ’cause I know that I’m pressure / I’m holding on for the better, I need something special (yea yea yea) / I gotta love all of me / I gotta love all of me first / My only problem is I’m so addicted to hurt / But I dare pray for my reflection / As I fail at loving myself / It’s like I’m chasing the wind and never facing it, it’s going nowhere.”

“Mirror” serves as a personal introduction to the next phase of Riley’s career, setting the stage for her highly anticipated debut album. To kick off the release, Riley launched an exclusive Chanel/Vogue campaign on TikTok Live. She also teased the song during the SummerStage concert series in New York City on June 1. Despite some time away from the public eye, Ebony Riley has been diligently perfecting her sound and preparing for new music.

Accompanying the single is a special visualizer that offers glimpses into Riley’s life as both a musician and a model. The camera captures behind-the-scenes moments, including production work for “Mirror” in Atlanta and a campaign shoot for Chanel in London.
