GASHI Shares Emotionally Evocative New Single “Cold”
GASHI, has released “Cold”, a poignant addition to his forthcoming album Brooklyn Cowboy via his self-founded record label, ORCA Sound Records.
On “Cold,” GASHI delves into the chilling realization that companionship does not always cure the ache of loneliness. Inspired by the raw emotions of personal experience, the lyrics communicate the irony of solitude felt amidst the presence of another. Each note carries the weight of introspection, as GASHI reflects on the emptiness that pervades a relationship devoid of genuine connection. Through a danceable beat and soulful vocals, “Cold” becomes an infectious anthem for those who have found themselves yearning for the warmth of true intimacy amidst the icy embrace of superficiality.
“I made ‘Cold’ when I realized that I felt lonelier in bed with someone that I wasn’t in love with than I did when I was actually alone,” says GASHI.
The release is accompanied by the official music video, directed by Zack McTee and shot in various Brooklyn locations. The visuals in the video capture the chilling decline of a once fiery bond. Scenes of an abandoned home and an empty depot capture the desolation and solitude of a fractured relationship. These images are juxtaposed with scenes of two galloping horses and Brooklyn’s bustling Katz’s Deli, reminiscent of the once vibrant and lively nature of the romance that has now turned cold. A distant New York skyline and ice shattering into a glass further highlight the frigid detached emotions of the ex-lovers.

In addition to music and touring, GASHI founded his own record label, ORCA Sound Records, which Brooklyn Cowboy will be released through. As part of this venture, GASHI has signed artist ALEXSUCKS who’s single “If I Could” debuted at number 34 on the Alt Airplay Billboard charts. This venture is all part of GASHI’s new era of taking control of his life and reclaiming the American Dream.
