GLOBAL SUPERSTAR SHAKIRA DOMINATES CHARTS WITH NEW ALBUM LAS MUJERES YA NO LLORAN
GRAMMY® and Latin GRAMMY® Award-winning artist Shakira dominates charts with the release of her new album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran. In the first 24 hours it was released, the album became the most streamed album of 2024 with 10 billion streams globally. It was certified 7x platinum upon release. Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran is currently #1 on Billboard’s Latin Album and Latin Pop Album Charts, while “Puntería” with Cardi B holds the #1 spot on both the Billboard Latin Airplay and Latin Pop Airplay charts.
Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran is not only ruling the US charts but commanding charts around the world as well. In Spain, the album is #1 on the official sales chart and #1 on the top 100 albums list. In Colombia, it is currently #1 on iTunes and in Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras, the album debuted at #1 on Apple Music. “Puntería” is also making a global impact, securing the #1 Hot Song Pop Urbano spot in Colombia.
Last week, Shakira surprised a crowd of over 40,000 people with a mesmerizing performance at the TSX Stage in Times Square.
Off her latest album, she has also recently dropped the Mike Ho-directed music video for “(Entre Paréntesis)” alongside Grupo Frontera as well as the fantasy-filled ”Puntería” video with Cardi B. The ”Puntería” video with Cardi B has been viewed more than 16 million times and was the #1 trending video worldwide, while the “(Entre Paréntesis)” video has been viewed more than 9 million times.
