HEY NOTHING UNVEIL EMOTIONAL NEW SINGLE “SEEING YOU” VIA MUSIC SOUP/INTERSCOPE RECORDS
Emerging indie-folk duo hey, nothing unveil their heartfelt new single “Seeing You”, a moving tribute to parents. The track marks a coming-of-age moment, capturing the realization that parents are more than caretakers—they’re human, with their own struggles and insecurities. With raw, unfiltered lyricism like “I saw you fall apart, and get right back again,” the song honors the quiet resilience and humanity behind parenthood.
hey, nothing say on the track: “’Seeing You’ is a letter to our parents. We were hit with a wave of clarity as we entered (young) adulthood that helped us understand the most humanly traits that parents carry. It’s a message of forgiveness and grace, really — to let our parents know that we know that they are still learning too.”
The new single follows their latest release, “Black Bear”, a festival favorite that captures the struggle of supporting someone through addiction. Barely 20 years old, hey, nothing has spent much of 2025 connecting with their devoted fan base through passionate, story-driven live shows—equal parts poignant and playfully humorous—at both headline performances and major festivals like Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Shaky Knees, Austin City Limits, and All Things Go, solidifying their unshakable identity and growing community of die-hard fans.
Their tour continues through the fall with European dates and ongoing support for Cage The Elephant. See the full routing below.
hey, nothing has attracted an ever-expanding following with richly literary emo-folk that serves as a showcase for their indelible vocal interplay and their forthright, wound-excavating depictions of addiction, toxicity, trauma, and familial struggles. hey, nothing, comprised of best friends Tyler Mabry and Harlow Phillips— whose name is inspired by pull their name from Stephen Chbosky’s coming-of-age classic. The Perks of Being a Wallflower — have sold out runs of headlining shows, and garnered notices from the likes of NPR Music, Alternative Press, Pigeons & Planes, Stereogum, Brooklyn Vegan, and even their hometown Atlanta newspaper. On their latest EP, 33°, there’s a mature, literary bent as well: part Robert Frost, part Stephen King’s Stand By Me, and part Joan Didion’s The Year Of Magical Thinking.
Though hey, nothing’s rise has been swift, the duo’s punk-folk sound stands its ground, ringing to a tune akin with Modern Baseball or The Front Bottoms. On stage, they’ve got an instantaneously charming, almost telepathic wit and banter; you remember that the emotional weight of their lyrics doesn’t negate their ability to enjoy life.
