DERYCK WHIBLEY’S CLOTHING BRAND WALKING DISASTER RELEASES 4 NEW SOCK DESIGNS

This week, Sum 41 frontman and international bestselling author, Deryck Whibley, released an exciting new drop for his clothing brand, Walking Disaster. Four new sock designs, previously only available in the Chaos Box, are now available for individual purchase HERE.

Each sock offers a unique pattern designed by Whibley himself, but are more than just a punk-inspired accessory. Built with a full-circle weft knit and a single-cylinder design, the socks deliver smooth, consistent loops for a seamless, second-skin fit. Jacquard patterning enables up to 17 colors with precision control, while reinforced heel and toe zones use advanced weft grip stitching for durability and pressure relief. Heel-toe forming tech and memory stitching lock in shape over time, reducing friction and blowouts for long-wear comfort.

Built around the mantra “Own Your Chaos,” Walking Disaster is more than a clothing line – it’s a statement of identity, resilience, and rebellion for those who never quite fit in. What began as a personal obsession with designing the perfect sock, shaped by years on the road, quickly expanded into a full head-to-toe collection led entirely by Whibley, now spanning shirts, hoodies, hats, and more. Each piece is intentionally designed and sourced, capturing the raw spirit and nonconformance of DIY.

“I had this idea to start Walking Disaster as a clothing company back in 2008. And I actually incorporated the name, started the company, but because I’m so committed to what I do – I was 100% focused on Sum 41 and didn’t have the bandwidth or the time to put the effort in to do a great clothing line,” explains Whibley. “Once Sum 41 was over, I decided now’s the time. I want to do something, it’s still creative, it’s really fun, it’s not the same as writing music but I still get to be very creative and all these ideas that are floating around in my head, I get to put them into clothing instead of music.”

The first drop of the collection launched November 15th at Vans Warped Tour Orlando, with an official Walking Disaster tent run by Deryck himself and countless items quickly selling out both in-person and online. Select items from the initial drop are still available in incredibly limited quantities.
