The LGBTQ community felt seen and heard at the Atlanta stop on Jordy’s “Sex With Myself Tour”. The openers were Siena Liggins and Zee Machine. There were themes of self-love and perseverance throughout the show. The venue was filled shortly after the doors opened. Some people traveled over six hours to attend the show. Members of the crowd were mingling and throwing back shots before the show. Fans wore chest harnesses to resemble Jordy’s look in his tour poster.

Siena Liggins came out in a bold red jumpsuit while holding an American flag. Her lips were decorated with pearls. Zee Machine mentioned to the audience how her outfit caught his attention when he saw it hanging in the green room. Siena told the crowd to rise above small ideas and never allow anyone to dictate their decisions about their bodies. Her raunchy songs got the crowd hyped, and she promoted safe sex. The audience received her well and stayed engaged throughout her entire set.

Zee Machine challenged the crowd to take a drink every time he ended a song with a vocal run. He was full of energy and did a great job singing while dancing on stage. There was a sequence where Zee Machine would command the crowd to cheer, then suddenly get quiet. “Good boy,” he said in approval of their obedience. The show took place just three days after Election Day. “They can’t vote away music or our queer joy.” The crowd showed their appreciation for Zee Machine’s reassurance by cheering in agreement.

Everyone was at attention when headliner Jordy took the stage. He expressed how happy he was to be back in Atlanta. Jordy performed some of his older songs, such as “Sticks and Stones,” and was ecstatic to hear the crowd singing along at the top of their lungs. He used his platform to bring awareness to the difficulties that members of the LGBTQ community face during adolescence. Jordy did an excellent job of shedding light on serious community issues while maintaining a vibrant, high-energy show.
