JUTES TURNS HEARTBREAK INTO A DRUG ON NEW SINGLE “LOVE PSYCHOSIS”
Jutes has released an intoxicating new single, “Love Psychosis”, off of the deluxe version of his acclaimed album Chin Up, Beautiful, which arrives December 4th via Position Music. The deluxe album brings forth three new tracks, including “Cruella” and “Rose Water.” Arriving alongside “Love Psychosis” is the accompanying music video.
The track pairs a repetition-driven hook with confessional verses, creating a push and pull between euphoria and unease that mirrors its lyrical content. The result is a song that feels both cathartic and unsettling, built around the kind of relationship most people recognize but rarely say out loud.
With lyrics like “I need you, even at your worst, even if it hurts,” the song doesn’t shy away from the darker corners of romantic obsession. Verses laced with images of cigarettes and adrenaline paint a portrait of a narrator who mistakes intensity for intimacy, choosing chaos over solitude at every turn. The lyric “I’d rather end up hopeless than alone again” captures the song’s emotional core: the fear of abandonment becoming more powerful than the fear of harm.
About the song, Jutes shares, “Love psychosis is about someone I know who was stuck in a relationship they couldn’t pull themselves out of. Almost addicted to it even though it’s causing their life to fall apart. The longer they stayed in it, the more they lost touch with reality.”
Jutes is currently on the road for his North American headline run, Smile You’re On Tour. Over 90% of the tour has sold out, including shows at New York’s Irving Plaza, Chicago and Dallas’ House of Blues, Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall, and more. Following his North American tour, Jutes will make his Australian debut as an opener for Dayseeker, with the tour kicking off in February of 2027 continuing his global momentum.
