Logic1000 releases new Hercules & Love Afffair Remix of ‘The Only One ft. Christine and the Queens’

Following the release of her acclaimed new single ‘The Only One’ feat. Christine and the Queens, Logic1000 unveils a new remix of the track from legendary electronic project Hercules & Love Affair, reimagining the song’s tender, luminous qualities for the dancefloor.

A meeting of two singular forces in electronic music, the remix comes courtesy of Hercules & Love Affair founder Andy Butler, whose genre-defying work has spent nearly two decades moving fluidly between house, disco, techno and the more emotive edges of club music. Here, Butler draws out the warmth and sensuality at the heart of ‘The Only One’, transforming Logic1000 and Christine and the Queens’ original into something deeper, more hypnotic and built for late-night spaces.

Speaking on the remix, Hercules & Love Affair says:
“The song was a joy to remix. It has a tenderness to it. I wasn’t sure what to expect with two such adventurous artists and I feel lucky to have been given such great material to work with!”

Originally released alongside an extraordinary dance film starring Rahim and a young dance troupe from the seaside town of Worthing, ‘The Only One’ is one of the most personal and emotionally resonant moments on Logic1000’s forthcoming second studio album Confirmation!. The track sees Poulter collaborate with Christine and the Queens on a song dedicated to the younger generation and it marked the second time the pair have collaborated, first connecting when Poulter remixed Christine and the Queens’ ‘La vita nuova’ in 2020.

The remix arrives as Logic1000 prepares to release Confirmation!, her second studio album, due October 2nd via Therapy/Because Music. Following her acclaimed 2024 debut Mother and celebrated contribution to the DJ-Kicks series, the album finds Poulter stepping onto steadier emotional ground, exploring acceptance, growth, self-belief and the freedom that comes from no longer trying to become a fixed version of yourself.

Across Confirmation!, Poulter’s warm, club-rooted production expands into house, pop, downtempo, trip-hop and leftfield electronica, with collaborations including Kučka, Jam City, FAUZIA, yunè pinku, Tiffi M and Christine and the Queens. Over the past five years, Logic1000 has become one of electronic music’s most distinctive voices, celebrated for productions that balance emotional intimacy with undeniable dancefloor instinct. Championed by Four Tet, Floating Points and Caribou, and following performances everywhere from Glastonbury and Coachella to Primavera and a sold-out four-night residency at London’s Phonox, Samantha Poulter has quietly built a catalogue that feels entirely her own, while lending her singular touch to remixes for Dua Lipa, Shygirl and Don Toliver.
