LUCKI Releases Bad Influence, His New Documentary, Chronicling His Massive Year in 2026

LUCKI evolved from an underground hero to one of rap’s most popular cult leaders, taking over the game without ever softening his sound for the mainstream. The Chicago-born star gives fans a peek behind the curtain, sharing Bad Influence, his new documentary. Directed by mattsdemise, hour-long documentary follows LUCKI as he records and prepares to release Dr*gs R Bad, his 2026 album, which became the best-selling of his career.

Bad* Influence features insights from LUCKI himself, along with interviews with some of his closest collaborators and friends, including his frequent producer Bhristo, who also scored the film. The film gives an unprecedented look behind the scenes of one of rap’s most mysterious figures, who is rapidly becoming one of the genre’s biggest stars. Beyond the glamorous studio shots and rap star iconography, the doc examines LUCKI as a person, in his giveaways of video gaming equipment to local school children, parties while listening to Future, and celebrates his birthday with his friends and family.  Bad* Influence is available now on LUCKI’s YouTube.

LUCKI’s new documentary arrives on the heels of Last Laugh [archive tape], his latest project. A gift to his massive and growing fanbase, who chronicle every snippet and loosie that he drops, collecting them in playlists and sometimes playing them more than his officially-released songs, Last Laugh is a dispatch from LUCKI’s vault, featuring popular snippets, fan-favorite leaks, and never-before-heard gems. Compiled from material that spans more than a decade, Last Laugh gives new context to the Chicago native’s career, painting a picture of LUCKI’s creative process (showing the creation of the DRB cover art and BTS shots of album highlights being recorded) and illustrating his vast songwriting talent. Producers on the tape include regular LUCKI collaborators like Bhristo and Brent Rambo, plus heavy-hitters like Plu2o Nash, Samsson, and Flansie. The album features cover art by Kodone, depicting artistic representations of LUCKI’s evolution as an artist throughout the years.

Over its opening weekend, Last Laugh [archive tape] set new chart milestones for LUCKI, reaching #1 on Apple Music’s Hip-Hop Albums Chart and #2 on Apple Music’s All-Genres chart. The splash made by Last Laugh follows in the wake the blockbuster Dr*gs R Bad, LUCKI’s May 2026 album. Despite stiff competition from three Drake albums, DRB landed the biggest opening week of his career to date, notching a #9debut on the Billboard 200 with 51,000 units and 48.39 million on-demand official streams, the best streaming week of his career. LUCKI was the 10th-most-streamed artist on Spotify during the album’s debut weekend, ranking ahead of behemoths like The Weeknd and Kanye West, and reached #4 on Apple Music’s All-Genre Albumschart. Beyond streaming, LUCKI racked up over 6,000 album sales, placing at #13 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales Chart.

Over the summer, LUCKI rocked the “Bad* Influence Tour,” selling out the entire tour, while performing at venues that ranged from 2500-5000 capacity. Featuring support from rising rapper Sk8star, the fast-selling “Bad* Influence Tour” was a remarkable achievement in an era when many artists struggle to keep their tours afloat. Over the summer, LUCKI headlined First Class Festival in Toronto and performed a huge set at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash, just outside his hometown of Chicago. To date, LUCKI has earned 7 GOLD and 2PLATINUM certifications from the RIAA.

With Last Laugh out now, Dr*gs R Bad in the rearview, and billions of streams in the bank, LUCKI hopes to shape the mainstream in his image. Keep an eye on LUCKI as he continues to elevate.
