MARCO MARES RELEASES NEW SINGLE “DIGO QUE NO, PERO SÍ” FEATURING SABINO

Marco Mares continues to take next steps toward the release of his third studio album with the release of his fourth single, “digo que no, pero sí”. With this new release, the musical direction the artist is taking becomes increasingly clear.

This time, Marco Mares teams up with Sabino, one of the most prominent figures in the Latin music scene, in a collaboration that promises to become another milestone in his career.

With “digo que no, pero sí,” Marco ventures into new musical territory, exploring merengue for the first time. The track fuses the rhythm of merengue with reggae, with a clear influence from Bob Marley’s “Exodus”, and is complemented by Sabino’s signature Sab-Hop style, creating a unique and vibrant blend that showcases the best of both genres.

“This song is about that moment when someone asks if you miss your ex and, even though you say no, deep down you know the answer is a resounding yes,” said Marco Mares.

This track has become one of the singer’s favorites on the album, especially because of the energy it promises to bring to his live performances.

“This song was really crafted to be an explosive part of the show, with strong cuts and rhythmic sections that complement the smooth melodies. The production with Sebastián Krys and ‘Visitante’ was key because they knew exactly which direction to take, blending the unconventional side of merengue with something more organic,” Marco added.

“The obvious is never the way,” continued Eduardo Cabra.

The song was co-written with Alberto Arcas, lead vocalist of Okills, during a sunny afternoon at his home. From its inception, “digo que no, pero sí” was meant to be a party track, and the participation of Sabino, the leader of Sab-Hop, gave it even more strength. Marco and Sabino had worked together before, and the chemistry between the two artists is undeniable.

“Just a few weeks ago, I joined him at his Estadio GNP show and once again felt the chemistry we have, which is why his feature on ‘digo que no, pero sí” was everything my heart needed. I’m very grateful to him for accepting the invitation”, said Marco Mares.
