Mýa Teams up with 21 Savage for “ASAP (Remix)” Out Now

GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer Mýa returns with the official “ASAP (Remix)” featuring multi-platinum rapper 21 Savage, out now. Arriving just weeks after the release of the original single, the new version expands the record’s emotional core while bringing a sharper, contemporary edge to Mýa’s latest chapter.

Built on the smooth, mid-tempo foundation of the original, “ASAP (Remix)” transforms the track into a layered exchange. Mýa’s vocal anchors the record with clarity and conviction, while 21 Savage delivers a focused, hard-hitting verse that adds urgency and perspective. The collaboration bridges classic R&B sensibility with modern hip-hop storytelling, underscoring Mýa’s continued ability to move fluidly across eras and sounds.

“ASAP” serves as the lead single from Mýa’s forthcoming tenth studio album Retrospect, arriving May 1, 2026 via her independent label Planet 9. Marking her first full-length release since 2018’s T.K.O., the project reflects a career built on ownership, consistency, and evolution. In addition to 21 Savage, the new album will feature a number of guest appearances including Snoop DoggADÉToo $hortD-Nice, and Joyner Lucas.

Over the past year, Mýa has remained deeply active across music, touring, and catalog milestones. In 2025, she released the singles “Face to Face” and “Give It To You,” continuing a steady run of new material while maintaining a consistent presence onstage with live performances across the country. That same year, she celebrated the 25th anniversary of her platinum-certified sophomore album Fear of Flying with a definitive vinyl reissue and its first-ever Dolby Atmos streaming release, revisiting the era that produced enduring classics like “Case of the Ex.” The milestone was further underscored by her acclaimed performance at the 2025 BET Awards, where her sharp choreography and commanding vocals earned widespread praise and reaffirmed her reputation as one of R&B’s most dynamic live performers. She also joined Brandy and Monica on The Boy Is Mine tour, delivering standout performances that reinforced her status as a commanding and road-tested artist.

With a career spanning more than 25 years, Mýa’s impact includes era-defining hits and collaborations such as the Grammy Award-winning “Lady Marmalade” with Christina AguileraLil’ Kim, and Pink and the global smash “Ghetto Supastar” with Pras and Ol’ Dirty Bastard. Yet even with a catalog that helped shape modern R&B and pop, her focus remains firmly forward as she builds toward the release of Retrospect and the next phase of an already landmark career.
