NAO RELEASES MESMERIZING SINGLE AND VIDEO “WAIT” – NEW ALBUM ‘AND THEN LIFE WAS BEAUTIFUL’ OUT SEPTEMBER 24

After announcing the exciting news of her upcoming album And Then Life Was Beautiful, NAO shares yet another mesmerizing slice of the project with us. Titled ‘Wait’, her new single is taking an intimate look at how mistakes develop a relationship. With its piano-laden production, it effortlessly highlights NAO’s velvety vocals and, according to her, is one of her most streamlined instrumentation to date.

“The song is really just voice and piano, and I don’t think my audience has heard me so stripped back,”NAO says.

The accompanied Lisette Donkersloot-directed visuals find the songstress in different spheres and proportions – starring as the mountains, the rocks, shoreland and also a human on land surrounded by water, NAO is set in a blacked-out background and on a small floral island throughout. After a while, the sky turns into a beautifully gradient color and NAO emerges as all landscapes at once, creating a gorgeous surrealistic dreamscape.
