OTF Signee Booka600 Packs a Punch in Flex-Heavy “POW” Video

Tunefully relating his state-of-mind, Chicago’s Booka600 follows in the footsteps of his mentor Lil Durk. Packing a formidable melodic punch on his new video single, Booka shares POW.” Punctuating each line with an emphatic rhyme, “POW” is an infectious and hard-hitting drill anthem, providing the perfect opportunity for Booka to tout his well-earned riches: “Look at my chain, POW/Look at my ring, blaow.” In the video, Booka retreats to an empty house in the woods, plotting his next move and laying in wait for anyone who might try to pull up. “POW” is Booka’s first new song since the release of Word To LA, Booka’s recent project.

With a titular tribute to his fallen friend LA CaponeWord To LA finds Booka at a crossroads, shaking off the traumatic experiences of his past in an effort to unlock his limitless potential. On tracks like “Promising”and “Faith,” Booka looks at his current life in disbelief–how could he have imagined, growing up in poverty, that he would eventually make a living doing what he loves? The project runs the gamut from piano-led ballads like “Fairwell” to hardcore drill anthems like closing track Bison, which has an energetic music video, and recent single Ok Ok Ok,” featuring Lil Durk and King Von. Achingly vulnerable and infectiously melodic,Word To LA‘s greatest strength comes from Booka’s emotional honesty and depth of feeling, which comes across even on the most hard-nosed anthems. Featuring additional appearances from Tee Grizzley, JusBlow600, Yung Mal, and Lil CO, Word To LA is available everywhere via Only The Family/EMPIRE.
