Lo-fi and melodic rapper/singer Powfu has released a brand-new pop-punk version of Taylor Swift’s “Mine” today. The reimagined cover will appear on Powfu’s upcoming EP due later this year, titled surrounded by hounds and serpents.

Speaking on the song, Powfu says: Growing up, I used to fall asleep listening to Taylor Swift, Maroon 5 and Yellowcard, so covering this song was nostalgic for me. It was cool to have my dad co-produce this because he influenced my taste for pop punk.”

Also included on the EP will be Powfu’s recent tracks “i hate waking up” feat. Rxseboy, SadBoyProlific and Alek Olsen, “watch me miss” feat. Jomie, and “washing off the blood” – each continuing to showcase Powfu’s unique and identifiable sound. Powfu’s latest string of releases come on the heels of him completing his first ever headline tour that included multiple stops in US + Canada earlier this Summer. With over 1.5 Million social followers, over 8 Million monthly listeners on Spotify alone, and 150 Million streams across his latest releases, Powfu continues to evolve through each release, displaying his artistry through relatable lyricism and melodious versatility.
