RAICHE RELEASES “MAKING ROOM” EP – OUT NOW!

Boston-born, LA based Singer/Songwriter Raiche emerges stronger and bolder after heartbreak with the release of her highly anticipated new EP Making Room released via Genre Defying Entertainment / Island Prolific / Atlantic Records today. This 5-track project arrives after a year of personal upheaval and soul-searching, during which Raiche channeled her raw emotions into a compelling collection of songs that showcase her dynamic voice, sharp lyricism, and bold artistic evolution. The project’s title track and lead single, “Making Room,” sets the tone for the entire EP. Described by VIBE as an anthem of self-empowerment, the track celebrates personal growth and the art of creating space for new beginnings. “I had to be centered in who I am and figure out what I really want for myself,” Raiche reflects. “I just wanted to be happy, and I discovered you can choose your joy. It’s about realizing that you don’t have to stay stuck; you can move on and rebuild.”

After a difficult breakup, Raiche spent the summer in Atlanta, diving deep into self-help books and podcasts on love, heartbreak, and relationships, including Jay Shetty’s 8 Rules of Love and Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist. It was here that Raiche found the space to heal, gather her strength, and create music that showcases her growth and resilience.  “I realized I have the power to restructure my thinking and change any relationship,” Raiche shares. “I learned you can be like, ‘I want to be happy today,’ and be happy.”

“Making Room” has already earned praise for its blend of vulnerability and confidence, with Pop Dust calling it “a perfect balance of new and classic,” and comparing it to the work of artists like Erykah Badu and Meghan Trainor. The EP’s first single is a testament to Raiche’s resilience as she navigates the journey from heartbreak to empowerment. She recently delivered a powerful performance of the lead single on the #LateShowMeMusic series.

The EP continues with the bittersweet, introspective “Thinking Of You,” which dives deeper into the emotional complexities of moving on after a breakup. VIBE has already hailed it as a track that “perfectly encapsulates the struggle of being unable to escape someone who still occupies your mind.”

One of the EP’s most empowering moments comes in the form of “You Made Me”, a funk-infused anthem where Raiche takes back control, asserting her independence after the pain of a breakup. The track captures the raw confidence that comes when a person realizes their worth and refuses to settle for less than they deserve.
