r&b breakout act kwn returns with new single “hopeless romantic”
After establishing herself as an undeniable artist to watch last year, East London singer, songwriter, and producer kwn returns with “hopeless romantic”, her first taste of new music for 2026. Listen HERE.
Out now via wnway / RCA Records, “hopeless romantic” delves deeper into kwn’s personal world than ever before, offering listeners a vulnerable and intimate look into the artist. Sprawling with candid, raw lyricism, the release is accompanied by kwn’s signature, sharp-edged production, this time infusing moody R&B influences with drum- and guitar-laden instrumentation. The single also premiered today as BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record.
With her unapologetic authenticity, distinctive voice, and fearless approach to music, kwn continues to captivate audiences, quickly becoming a rising star ushering in the next generation of R&B. Last year, she turned heads with the remix of her hit “worst behaviour” featuring Grammy-winning artist Kehlani – who she previously joined on the European leg of her Crash World Tour – and released her critically lauded EP, with all due respect, a nine-track body of work featuring standout tracks such as “do what i say,” “back of the club,” and “talk you through it” with girl group FLO. The project was declared as one of the best releases of 2025 by Rolling Stone, Billboard, The FADER, and more, with Complex crowning her as one of “the R&B Singers To Watch” for 2026.
After garnering nominations at the NAACP Image Awards, iHeartRadio Music Awards, BRIT Awards, and MOBO Awards this year alone, this March she will kick off the next leg of her must-see live show – a continuation of her sold-out North American and European run last year – with stops in Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Toronto, and more.
