REDD. TEAMS UP WITH CAT & CALMELL ON INDIE-SLEAZE SINGLE “i wanna”

Welcome to the latest offering from REDD.’s forthcoming multi-coloured heaven’s here project – ‘i wanna’. Written in tandem with London indie songstress Aziya, produced by Dan Carey (Wet Leg, Fontaines D.C., Geese), and featuring Sydney’s infamous party starters Cat & Calmell, ‘i wanna’ is a call-and response indie sleaze anthem for a whole new generation of scene kids.

‘i wanna’ marks the third single from REDD.s project heaven’s here, out on Friday November 20th . It is accompanied by an official video directed by Cole Surrey and Jacq Justice, featuring REDD. and Cat & Calmell who were filmed in Los Angeles and Sydney, respectively. The wild and unfiltered video is messy and reckless in a way that only being young and free can feel.

REDD. says: Being able to work with Cat & Calmell means so much to me! The girls are so talented, and I’ve been a fan of theirs for a little while now. I reached out and was so stoked when they said they were down to hop on the track. I can’t wait to perform the song live with them!!

Cat & Calmell says:  We had a lot of fun getting to throw it back to a bygone era of C&C (#electric guitars 4ever)… It was also a lot of fun getting cheeky and moaning at the top of our lungs in our share house <3 ily REDD

The release of ‘i wanna’ follows REDD.’s European and UK tour, during which they played major festivals in Poland and Germany, supported Perth group South Summit on a run of EU dates along with headline shows in Prague, Amsterdam, and London. REDD.’s recent showcases in Reeperbahn exemplified why they’re one of the most exciting new talents to come out of Australia in recent years. Both showcases reached capacity, with their second – at Hamburg’s infamous MOLOTOV – requiring security to prevent fans from overwhelming an already over-capacity room. It’s clear that as the world slowly discovers REDD, they’re becoming just and enamoured with their star quality and infectious energy.

Punk, rap and electro, shape personal songwriting with poignant details on REDD.’s new project. Exploring themes of gender, sexuality, grief, love, escapism and coming of age heaven’s here is deeply personal as it is relatable. A 4k snapshot of REDD.s life, heaven’s here includes previous singles ‘life’ and ‘better’ reflecting experimentation, self-discovery and self-expression inherent in youth.

With over 4.2 million global streams since releasing music, REDD. was named on Rolling Stone‘s Future of Music 2026 list, with their music featured in the world of film, television and gaming. The first two singles lifted from heaven’s here, garnered local support from the likes of triple j, RAGE, BRAG Media VOTW, Frankie Magazine and internationally they’ve been championed by Ones To Watch, COLORS, The Line of Best Fit, NOTION Magazine, Wonderland, Noctis, Hunger Magazine and more.

Now home in Australia, REDD. is set to support Baker Boy in Melbourne, play Gossy Weekender Festival in Gosford and NYE ON THE HILL Festival in South Gippsland, Victoria with more shows to be announced soon.
