From Signature Plaid Model S to Lifted Cybertruck, Unplugged Performance Customer Builds Will Be On Display at Sold-Out X Takeover Event at Tesla’s Gigafactory Texas
Tesla owners bring their creative visions to Giga Texas with Unplugged Performance upgrades spanning forged wheels, suspension, braking, and off-road capability

A one-of-250 Tesla Model S Signature Plaid and a Cybertruck that competed at this year’s Mint 400 are among five Unplugged Performance-equipped vehicles heading to X Takeover on Saturday, October 10, at Giga Texas in Austin. Joining them are two individually customized Model S Plaids and the CyberOdyssey Cybertruck, whose owner hosts regular off-road excursions for the EV community.
There will also be hundreds of Unplugged Performance customers in attendance, so attendees shouldn’t forget to stroll through the parking area to see great builds from around the country.
The featured builds will offer fellow Tesla enthusiasts a closer look at how Unplugged Performance wheels, suspension, brakes and off-road components come together on vehicles within their own community. Each vehicle present at the event reflects different ownership priorities, with upgrades selected to prepare for extensive road travel to hosting trail drives and developing components through desert competition.
Xander (@XanderSky) and his Tesla Model S Signature Plaid
Among the most anticipated customer vehicles is Xander’s Model S Signature Plaid, one of just 250 examples. His Unplugged Performance upgrades focus on alignment flexibility and a more settled chassis for the miles ahead.
Billet adjustable rear camber arms allow the rear alignment to be tailored with tire wear in mind, while front and rear adjustable sway bars help reduce body roll. A GT Rear Strut Tower Brace adds rear chassis bracing to address the floaty sensation he wants to avoid during cornering and highway lane changes. Together, the modifications focus on how the limited-production sedan drives while retaining its distinctive appearance. The vehicle also features a unique golden sparkle paint protection film.

The @KilowattCustoms Cybertruck from the Mint 400
Joining the customer vehicles is a Cybertruck race truck that has competed at the Mint 400. Its equipment includes a UP INVINCIBLE 2.5-inch lift setup, additional suspension developed with King Shocks, 18-inch UP-03 beadlock wheels, front and rear steel bumpers, rock sliders and a UP double-row light bar.
The truck represents the demanding off-road side of Unplugged Performance’s development work. Experience at the Mint 400 helped inform revisions to the production lift kit, connecting competition use with the components available to all Cybertruck owners.
Brian Lovell (@og_cyber_)and the CyberOdyssey Cybertruck
Brian Lovell, owner and host of CyberOdyssey, organizes off road events almost every month, helping Cybertruck and other EV owners explore beyond the pavement and is a leader in the Tesla Cybertruck community worldwide. His Cybertruck carries an extensive selection of UP INVINCIBLE equipment, including front and rear steel bumpers, steel rock sliders, a front bull bar and a double-row 48V roof-mounted LED light bar.
Custom-painted side sail MOLLE racks with integrated lighting add a personal touch, complemented by carbon fiber fender flares and UP-03 beadlock forged wheels. The build demonstrates the breadth of the UP INVINCIBLE® range, bringing together protection, utility and a distinctive visual identity.
Josh West (@JoshWest247) and the Adventure Plaid
Josh West’s “Adventure Plaid” takes its name from a 24/7 lifestyle he embodies on the road. His Model S Plaid has traveled across the United States and into Canada, and its latest configuration combines that road-trip history with a 2026-style Plaid front bumper conversion and 21-inch UP Forged CYBRHEX wheels in Gloss Black with a machined finish. The staggered wheel setup measures 21×9.5 inches at the front and 21×10.5 inches at the rear, both with a +35 mm offset.
The car also features the UP x PFC front and rear Large Sweep Iron Brake Package, rear camber arms and a rear sway bar that bring braking and handling confidence when he’s on the road. Unplugged Performance’s Sports Dynamic Air Suspension Lowering Kit completes the setup, giving the Model S Plaid a distinctive stance to match its driver’s travel needs.

Dan Burkland (@DBurkland) and his Lunar Silver Tesla Model S Plaid
Dan Burkland has traveled across the country to track his Teslas at events such as TeslaCorsa, and his Lunar Silver Model S Plaid reflects that enthusiasm for driving. His build features Satin Titanium UP-03 lightweight forged wheels, measuring 19×9.5 inches at the front and 19×10.5 inches at the rear, both with a +35 mm offset.
Behind the wheels, the Superlight Carbon Ceramic Front Big Brake Kit is paired with the Superlight Large-Sweep Carbon Ceramic Rear Rotor and Pad Kit. A Carbon Fiber Brake Cooling Duct Kit completes the braking upgrades.
The suspension setup includes adjustable front and rear sway bars, billet adjustable rear camber arms, billet adjustable rear toe arms and Ultimate Edition Front Upper Control Arms (FUCA). Together, these upgrades bring a comprehensive approach to braking and suspension tuning to a Plaid owned by an enthusiast willing to travel for time on track.
Celebrating the Tesla community
These vehicles represent just a few of the Unplugged Performance-equipped builds attending X Takeover, giving attendees an opportunity to explore different approaches to Tesla customization and meet the owners behind them.
Taking place October 10 at Giga Texas in Austin, the sold-out X Takeover 2026 brings together Tesla owners, EV enthusiasts, creators and families for a community-led celebration of vehicles and technology. Independently organized by Tesla Owners of Silicon Valley, the event features the Customized Tesla Showcase, Cybertruck District, keynote presentations and exhibitor displays, with a drone and light show planned for the evening.
Unplugged Performance continues its support of X Takeover and its focus on bringing the Tesla community together. Events like X Takeover give a meeting place for fellow enthusiasts to exchange ideas, see upgrades firsthand and find inspiration for their own builds. Unplugged Performance extends its appreciation to Tesla Owners of Silicon Valley and the volunteers behind the gathering. As part of its participation, the company will raffle a set of UP-RW FF Road Warrior wheels with curb guard rings, with fitment available for Model S, Model 3, Model X or Model Y owners.
