REMBLE UNLEASHES WITH STONEDA5TH AND MOZZY FOR RAW NEW SINGLE ‘COLORS’
REMBLE GIVES ROUSING PERFORMANCE AT KENDRICK LAMAR’S
LOS ANGELES CONCERT
Following a captivating performance and a viral dance that set the stage on fire at the Ken & Friends Pop Out concert on Juneteenth in Los Angeles, the audacious hip-hop artist Remble is back with his latest single “Colors”, in collaboration with stoneda5th and Mozzy. The track is available for streaming via Warner Records. The song, characterized by Remble’s forthright lyrics and distinctive minimalist production, stands out as yet another unique offering from the Southern California native. A compelling video released alongside the track highlights Remble’s elusive nature and irresistible charm.
Remble sets the tone of the song with a whispered warning, “Don’t even think about it, Bro, just keep going.” The 23-year-old artist then effortlessly dishes out jibes, witticisms, and incisive wordplay. He raps over ethereal, sparse synths, “You don’t got your phone with you and the whip’s stolen. If the boys hear about this one, you know who told ’em.” With each verse, Remble asserts that he’s forging a new path, bending the rules as he proceeds.
The accompanying video is equally enigmatic yet straightforward. In it, the up-and-coming rapper cultivates a secretive ambiance, performing his signature dance moves in isolated settings: outside a garage, amidst shipping containers, and near the water. The lyrics, resembling covert messages, coupled with the visuals, create a disquieting atmosphere.
Remble’s new track is his first release since his single “Where’s Remble?” last year, cleverly signaling the end of his break. It follows his remarkable collaboration with Blxst, “child of GOD,” and his acclaimed 2021 debut album, It’s Remble. The 13-track debut featured “Touchable,” a potent song that gained popularity on social media.
Remble’s ascent coincides with a resurgence in Los Angeles rap, with the city reasserting its prominence. In the wake of Kendrick Lamar’s influential performance, Remble’s rise symbolizes the city’s dynamic and evolving hip-hop landscape. As Los Angeles continues to foster and applaud its distinctive talent, artists like Remble are demonstrating that the West Coast is reclaiming its position as a powerhouse in hip-hop.
