COURT TV BRINGS VINNIE POLITAN INVESTIGATES TO YOUTUBE WITH A CREATOR-FIRST PODCAST
Court TV Expands Its Digital-First Strategy as VPI Launches in a Format Built for Today’s On-Demand True Crime Audience

Court TV, the leading media brand for live courtroom coverage and legal analysis, will premiere a new season and reimagined video podcast version of the acclaimed VPI: Vinnie Politan Investigates on Monday, May 18.
In a first-of-its-kind move for the network, new episodes of VPI — already one of Court TV’s highest-rated and most-watched shows — will debut first on Court TV’s YouTube channel, part of a broader new network YouTube-first strategy. Episodes of the podcast will then air weeknights at 8:00 PM ET on Court TV.
With a new, more casual set and video podcast-style format, VPI will now focus heavily on direct engagement with Court TV’s community of more than 2 million YouTube followers. Operating under parent company Law&Crime, VPI joins a combined digital powerhouse of nearly 12 million subscribers across the network’s platforms. This new format is designed to create an interactive community for true crime fans, who can now have direct input and help shape coverage of a Court TV signature program.
“VPI has built an incredibly engaged audience because Vinnie understands the questions viewers want answered and how to break down the stories everyone is talking about,” said Rachel Stockman, President of Law&Crime and Court TV. “Launching VPI with a YouTube-first strategy is part of our broader vision to expand Court TV on the platforms where audiences are consuming true crime today, while staying true to the credibility and legal expertise that have made the brand iconic.”
Inspired by subscriber feedback and online conversation, each week Vinnie will dive into the most buzzworthy and intriguing cases, delivering fresh episodes centered on the stories audiences are most obsessed with.
“I’m thrilled to bring VPI back for a new and improved season, and look forward to connecting with viewers each night through the stories capturing national attention,” said Vinnie Politan. “Whether it’s a shocking courtroom twist, an unsolved crime, a major break in a case, or a headline dominating the national conversation, our mission is to give audiences smart, fast, and honest coverage in real time. True crime audiences are deeply invested in these stories, and I’m grateful to be able to help guide viewers through the cases that matter most to them.”
