RISING ATLANTA BAND PENELOPE ROAD SIGN TO WARNER RECORDS, SHARE DYNAMIC NEW SINGLE “OUT TONIGHT”

Atlanta-based genre-blurring band Penelope Road announce their signing to Warner Records with their new single “Out Tonight”.

“This feels like the song that started it all,” the group explains. “We’re so excited to get this song out into the world and show our fans how much we’ve grown over the last year.”

Penelope Road’s unique blend of ‘70s rock, funk, soul, and pop rooted in vocal harmonies has already helped them carve out a distinct identity in the music scene and an organic online following. The viral success of “Out Tonight” demonstrates the buzzing, widespread appeal of the band, with the track accumulating millions of views leading up to its release and gaining the band over 600 thousand new followers across socials.

The five-piece channels inspiration from contemporaries like Mk.gee and iconic artists like Steely Dan, Hall & Oates, and the Eagles, crafting a sound defined by their harmonies, musicality, and notoriously energetic live performances. Their undeniable talent is already drawing impressive crowds of all ages across the country, and they’re embarking on their first national headline tour starting next month.

Kicking off on June 12 in Charleston, their summer headline tour includes stops at iconic venues throughout the US like Antone’s in Austin, The Troubadour in Los Angeles, and Bowery Ballroom in New York, before wrapping up in Louisville on August 29. The band will then play a three-show run supporting Lake Street Dive and a duo of dates supporting Goose in amphitheaters this September. Penelope Road is comprised of Max Moore (lead vocals/guitar), Charles Eastman (lead vocals/keys), Koan Roy-Meighoo (vocals/guitar), James Kopp (bass), and Anthony Smith (drums). Formed serendipitously when they all lived on the same street in Atlanta—Penelope Road—the group released their debut four-track EP Penelope Road last year, laying the foundation for their evolving artistry.
