RISING OKLAHOMA ROCK QUARTET GANNON FREMIN & CCREV RELEASE NEW SINGLE “CONTAGIOUS” OUT NOW
Rising Oklahoma red dirt rock band Gannon Fremin & CCREV (short for Cross County Revenue) are cranking up the volume and kicking the door down for another chapter with their hard-hitting new single, “Contagious”.
The rowdy country-rock band refresh and recharge grunge’s tried-and-true “loud-soft” dynamic by spiking it with a healthy helping of Southern-fried soul. Airy clean guitar complements the song’s emotionally charged verses, and frontman Gannon Fremin warns, “You don’t wanna catch these feelings that I get when you come around.” Distortion blares and boosts the chantable chorus, “It’s contagious…all these thoughts running through my mind.” With a scorching solo sending the song off in style.
“Contagious” takes flight as their first release of 2026. Last year, they served up the Hello, Hate To See You EP highlighted by “Love Me Too” and “With or Without Me.” The EP amassed tens of millions of streams. “With not a single song worth skipping, this EP doesn’t just introduce a band hitting their stride—it announces them” raved Raised Rowdy.
Emerging from the heart of Oklahoma, Gannon Fremin & CCREV have built their hard-won audience the old-fashioned way with hard work, constant touring that has evolved into a hard-rockin’ powerhouse band that encompasses the grit and independent spirit of Southwest Oklahoma. Consisting of frontman and songwriter Gannon Fremin, guitarist Travis Julian, bassist Wade Cartwright and drummer Tyler McCartney, this quartet carries the rustic range of classic rock and country influences blended with the punk power of The Stooges with grunge-era energy.
