Secretary Blinken’s Call with Turkish Foreign Minister Fidan

Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke via phone today with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.  The two discussed diplomatic efforts to prevent the conflict from widening and to minimize the humanitarian costs of the war.  The Secretary reiterated the need for Hamas to halt all violent attacks and free hostages immediately.  The Secretary welcomed Turkiye’s constructive engagement.
