Shakira, the iconic Colombian artist who this year has ranked #1 on Spotify’s Top Global 50 twice this year with the songs “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53” in collaboration with Bizarrap and “TQG” along with KAROL G has reached a new milestone by becoming the most streamed female Latin artist of all time on the platform.
This recognition coincides with the celebration of Shakira Day / Día de Shakira, an initiative promoted by Spotify to honor the Colombian this September 29, the 25th anniversary of her emblematic album “Dónde Están Los Ladrones.”
During Shakira Day, which arose in response to a request made by the artist’s fans, Spotify deployed a series of actions that not only aimed to honor the Colombian super star’s career, but also celebrate fans of Latin music worldwide.
