Sold-Out Show: Montell Fish and Kacy Hill Mesmerize Fans at Buckhead Theater

Written and Captured By | Aleni Barkley

The line to enter Buckhead Theater extended to the end of block as the screen read “sold out” for the Montell Fish show. There was an attendee who drove from Miami to see the show. A parent had a member of security deliver food to a young fan in the front row. People were taking selfies and informing social media that they were in the number to see Montell Fish and Kacy Hill.

Kacy Hill expressed how the Atlanta weather surprised her. She was expecting the temperature to be cooler. The Arizona native didn’t mind the warm weather, but it caused her to alter her wardrobe. Kacy Hill has a soft, melodic voice that soothes the crowd and sets a mellow, laid back tone for the show. She performed a song she titled “Dinner” and shared an anecdote about writing the song during dinner. Kacy was accompanied onstage by two guitarists.

Chants of “Montell” rang through the venue as fans anticipated the appearance of headliner Montell Fish on stage. The stage lights were low, creating a dark, moody vibe for the show. Fans started chanting “Take it Off.” Montell Fish was amused and responded by reminding the audience that it was still early in the show. He said “Maybe if you’re good,” and the crowd cheered optimistically. A fan in the front asked him to sing her happy birthday, and her wish was granted as he and the rest of the crowd sang in unison. Montell Fish played both the guitar and the keyboard.

It was easy to focus on the vocals and instrumentation coming from his silhouette in front of an orange circle that imitated the sun. “I love you Montell” periodically echoed through the crowd. The crowd passionately sang along to “Who Did You Touch?” Many phones were in the air recording throughout the show.
