STELLA LEFTY RELEASES DEBUT ALBUM ‘LONG WAY HOME’ VIA ATLANTIC OUTPOST
Marking a major career milestone, singer-songwriter Stella Lefty releases her eagerly awaited debut album Long Way Home, out via Atlantic Outpost.
Long Way Home reflects the pop country influences that shaped Stella and sparked her passion to create music, reconnecting her with the sound that first inspired her to become an artist. The album features seven new songs in addition to seven previously released tracks including hit singles “Boston” and “Thinking ‘bout You”.
The album’s cover echoes Stella’s connection to her roots as it mirrors a nostalgic childhood image and draws parallels by recreating the look with a nearly identical yellow bandana and white tank top. It’s a subtle nod to Stella’s journey and pays homage to the nostalgia-filled project.
Rooted in the genres that defined Stella’s upbringing, the release of Long Way Home represents a full circle moment for the Chicago-born musician. In front of a fully packed crowd of over 12 thousand fans, she announced the release at her Lollapalooza debut, a homecoming for Stella at the festival she’s attended since she was 15.
Providing a preview of the project, Stella released “Lean In, Kiss Me”, co-written with Julia Michaels. Stream HERE. The track embodies the essence of a “friends to lovers” relationship trope and captures the vulnerability and uncertainty of taking a chance on love.
Long Way Home comes on the heels of hit single “Boston” reaching the top 5 of Billboard’s ‘Hot 100’ chart, behind Taylor Swift and Ella Langley, and amassing over 385 million streams. The track has dominated the charts for the last 19 weeks, while gaining at both Country and Pop Radio too. Stella made her late night debut with “Boston” Jimmy Kimmel Live! and performed it last weekend with Marcus Mumford on stage at Madison Square Garden. It also just received a MTV Video Music Awards nomination in the “Best Country” category, in addition to Stella’s nomination for “Best New Artist”.
Following Stella’s hometown Lollapalooza debut and a string of major festivals, in addition to her Grand Ole Opry debut announcement slated for September 2nd, Long Way Home sets the stage for her November headline tour spanning Australia and North America. Get tickets HERE and see routing below.
