SYDNEY ROSS MITCHELL RELEASES SPELLBINDING NEW SINGLE “LUCKY NIGHTS”
Rising singer-songwriter Sydney Ross Mitchell returns with her latest single, “Lucky Nights”, out now via Disruptor Records/RCA Records. The hypnotic pop-folk single finds Sydney longing for the nights when she can finally be reunited with her partner in her dreams, unencumbered by distance or reality.
The release of “Lucky Nights” continues to solidify Sydney’s rise as one of the most engaging storytellers of her generation, garnering co-signs from artists such as FINNEAS and Lana Del Rey and counting Zane Lowe, SZA and Kaia Gerber as fans. Most recently, she leant her vocals to Role Model’s song “Love I You” off his latest album Chuck Timely & The Hourglass and was announced as support for Lizzy McAlpine’s 2027 The Over Country Tour for its North American leg.
Hailing from the West Texas town of Lubbock, Sydney’s musical instincts and narrative abilities were sharpened through her innate desire to hold her own and make herself heard. She spent two years honing her craft in Nashville and would eventually move to Los Angeles, writing songs in between her shifts waiting tables. Sitting at the intersection of Americana-style songwriting and pop-influenced musicality, her debut project Pure Bliss Forever in 2024 amassed over 20 million streams in less than a year.
She followed suit with the single “Pale Blue Eyes” and her sophomore project Cynthia earlier this year, an exploration of her religious roots and her exploits as a twenty-something in Los Angeles, chronicling themes of desire, guilt, self-indulgence and grace, navigating how each coexists amongst each other. On stage, her natural charisma and voice are even more undeniable, selling out headlining dates in North America, Europe and the UK.
