Six-time GRAMMY award winning, multi-faceted artist T-Pain is back with a hot new single, “I’m Cool With That”—listen to it here! “I’m Cool With That” was released exclusively on T-Pain’s Twitch channel on Thursday, and was written and produced by T-Pain. An official music video for the song will be released next week.
The track was created in real-time with T-Pain’s amazing Twitch community while he live streamed the beat, with fans who were tuned in assisting by commenting potential lyrics. T-Pain was also joined by streamer VeryHandsomBilly who hopped on the song to play bass during the live-stream, proving that T-Pain’s Twitch community is unlike any other and truly helped the single come together!
Twitch and the hip-hop icon announced a partnership yesterday. “Six years in the making, T-Pain has been a pioneer in leveraging Twitch as a collaborative community, and a regular host of beat reviews and online writing sessions. We are excited to debut his latest single with an exclusive listening party of ‘I’m Cool With That,’ a track made in collaboration with the Twitch community that will live on the Powered By T-Pain Soundtrack by Twitch Playlist,” said Twitch. “This is just the start to a coming together by T-Pain and Twitch to strengthen the Twitch music community and uplift its creators. Featuring exclusive content and community programming from the music and Twitch legend.”
Most recently T-Pain teamed up with GRAMMY-nominated standout R&B star Kehlani to release a new remix of their 2021 summer anthem “I Like Dat” featuring multi-platinum-certified artist BIA.
Earlier this summer, “I Like Dat” hit #1 most added at rhythmic radio in addition to entering the Top 5 at rhythmic radio and remining in the Top 25. It has now clocked nearly 67 Million streams since its release in May! The song is a take on T-Pains 2007 hit single “Buy U A Drank”, but from the female perspective. T-Pain shared an official video for the hit single, directed by Christian Breslauer and filmed at Veluzat Movie Ranch, drawing strong inspiration from Paul McCartneny & Michael Jackson’s video for “Say Say Say”.
T-Pain & Kehlani also performed the track on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
T-Pain’s single “Get Up” was released in June 2020 in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. In 2019, T-Pain released his latest album 1UP, which features Lil Wayne, O.T. Genasis and more.
Stay tuned for more new music coming from T-Pain later this year!
