THE BAND LOULA RELEASES BRAND-NEW TRACK, “MOTHER’S MOTHER” TODAY
Rising country/roots duo The Band Loula have released their brand-new song, “Mother’s Mother” via Warner Records Nashville. Written by the duo’s Malachi Mills and Logan Simmons, the track was produced by frequent collaborator John Osborne of GRAMMY-winning group Brothers Osborne.
“Mother’s Mother started out as a conversation about our “Nannys” (grandmothers) and how we were raised by strong, southern-Appalachian women,” explains Simmons. “We both grew up in North Georgia – cut from the same cloth – and were brought up in homes where family is priority. Whether you call your grandmother “Nanny”, “MeMaw”, or “Granny”, we hope this makes you think of them and reminds you of home.”
The band recently wrapped up a jam-packed SXSW schedule that included a performance as part of the 14th annual Luck Reunion at Willie Nelson’s famed “Luck, Texas” ranch, and recently performed at Country Radio Showcase, earning a standing ovation from the room at the Warner Records Luncheon. The duo is set to return to the Grand Ole Opry this weekend as part of the lineup for “Band As One Nashville Concert for the Cure: Trisha Yearwood & Friends.” In partnership with Susan G. Komen, the annual breast cancer awareness benefit concert raises funds for breast cancer research, patient services, and community health programs.

Last month, the duo kicked off their three-night Swampgrass Nights residency with Gary Nichols at Nashville’s legendary The Station Inn with two sold-out, electrifying performances. Further cementing their burgeoning reputation as a must-see live act, both unforgettable nights featured stand out performances with surprise guests including GRAMMY-Award winning artists like John Osborne, Ashley McBryde, Shelly Fairchild, and Rob and Ronnie McCoury (Del McCoury Band). The Band Loula will be back for their third and final sold out performance on March 29.
The duo will continue to mesmerize audiences on the road this summer including a show with Dierks Bentley on April 3 at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, NJ, with additional stops at The Grand Ole Opry, Tortuga Music Festival, SummerFest, DelFest, and more.
North Georgia natives and longtime friends, The Band Loula continues to garner widespread attention across the industry with their undeniable chemistry and near-blood harmonies, and recently made their Grand Ole Opry debut, for which they received a standing ovation.
Powerful live performers, The Band Loula has spent much of the past few years touring alongside artists such as Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osborne, Ashley McBryde, Paul Cauthen, Elle King, Lukas Nelson and Brent Cobb.
