The Pierce Brothers at the Melkweg in Amsterdam

On Friday night, Amsterdam welcomed two long-haired, Australian, surfing twin brothers – The Pierce Brothers. Their raw four-to-the-floor folk and charismatic energies have been shaking the concert room in Melkweg.

So If there is one thing that can’t be said about the Pierce Brothers, for sure it won’t assume that they have a lack of energy. Their passion, involvement, humor and first of all great music infected the crowd, which surrendered to the melody and the whole performance without memory. The crowd danced, sang and clapped. There was an atmosphere of love, friendship, and melancholy.
The performance was incredible. Songs built its stratum through the verses with a lead vocal from Jack Pierce, through to a soaring end featuring horns. The classic Pierce Brothers combination of upbeat music and more melancholy lyrics
was also present. All songs with catchy choruses and strong rhythm sections and captured more of the live magic.
Jack and Pat Pierce gave in Amsterdam a wonderful show! Their performance was worthy of anybody’s Friday night. I cant wait to see The Pierce Brothers again.
