Tinashe Ignites Excitement with New ‘Match My Freak’ Remix EP
Tinashe, a multi-platinum-certified R&B innovator, singer, songwriter, and dancer, has released the much-anticipated Match My Freak remix EP for her hit single “NASTY” via Nice Life Recording Company. The song, produced by Ricky Reed (known for his work with Lizzo, Camila Cabello) and Zack Sekoff, has rapidly gained popularity and become a viral hit. With over 250 million streams, the eagerly awaited remixes are released as the original song continues its ascent on the charts. Last week, the track marked Tinashe’s first solo entry on the Billboard Hot 100, currently ranking at #69 and still rising. The track also holds the #6 spot on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs, #7 on the TikTok Billboard Top 50, #87 on Global Songs on Spotify, and #6 on Global Viral 50 on Spotify. Tinashe recently showcased the hit track with a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

In 2023, Tinashe unveiled her sixth studio album, BB/ANG3L, which made its debut in the Top 10 on Spotify’s Global Albums chart and secured a spot in the Top 5 on Spotify’s US Albums chart. The album includes the single “Needs,” which was recognized on Pitchfork’s list of the 100 Best Songs of 2023. Earlier this year, she graced the stage at the highly esteemed NPR Tiny Desk concert series.
