Y2K UNLEASHES NEW TRACK “DIRT” FEATURING JPEGMAFIA

NEW ALBUM COMING SOON

Multiplatinum and multi-genre producer, DJ, and recording artist Y2K reveals a new track entitled “DIRT” featuring JPEGMAFIA via Columbia Records. It notably stands out as his first solo release since 2020. Listen to “DIRT” HERE.

In speaking about the track, Y2K says, “’DIRT’ is the first page in the new chapter of the Y2K project, I’ve been working on an album that better represents my interests and couldn’t be more excited to share it with the world. Expect more music very soon!”

On the track, neon keys give way to a frenetic and glitchy beat cooked up by Y2K. With unpredictable momentum, the rhythm cycles in waves underneath punchy bars courtesy of JPEGMAFIA. In hypnotic fashion, he reminds over and over again, “It’s dirt.” Digging through vibes, it unites these two disruptors on one dynamic banger. Born Ari Starace, Y2K has quietly left his imprint on various genres and music at large. The Phoenix native cut his teeth in bands during high school before gaining traction with a series of viral remixes. At the same time, he emerged as a sought-after producer, cooking up fan favorites for blackbear, Yung Gravy, iann dior, and Doja Cat. He notably helmed four tracks for the latter’s chart-dominating platinum blockbuster Planet Her, including the platinum-certified “Get Into It (Yuh),” gold-certified “I Don’t Do Drugs” [feat. Ariana Grande], “Options” [feat. JID], and “Payday” [feat. Young Thug]. Simultaneously, he served up a scorching signature style of his own as an artist. His breakout single “Lalala” [with bbno$] tallied over 1 billion worldwide streams and picked up a double-platinum plaque.
