Internationally acclaimed GRAMMY® nominated rock star Yungblud returns with an acoustic version of his Best Rock Song GRAMMY® nominated hit Zombie. The heart-wrenching ballad is widely regarded as one of his most profound releases to date, written for his late grandmother who died from alcoholism and showcasing a striking new depth in his songwriting. The new version of the track is accompanied by an intimate music video.

Speaking about the track, Yungblud explained, “The song was written initially about my grandmother going through serious injury and trauma, leading her to become a different person to who she was before. It’s about the feeling of deterioration and ugliness; shutting out the world and the people we love out of the fear of becoming a burden or an embarrassment.”

The original version was accompanied by a powerful music video—described as a “love letter to nurses around the world,” and starring Academy Award-nominated Florence Pugh.

The new release follows a whirlwind year for the British rock star, who has been nominated across all three rock categories at the 68th annual GRAMMY® Awards, taking place in Los Angeles on February 1, 2026. He earned nominations for Best Rock Album for IDOLS (Capitol Records), Best Rock Song for the powerful ballad “Zombie,” and Best Rock Performance for his moving cover of Black Sabbath’s “Changes.”

Continuing a year defined by standout moments, Yungblud also delivered a powerful tribute to his idol and friend Ozzy Osbourne at the MTV Video Music Awards, performing alongside Steven TylerJoe Perry, and Nuno Bettencourt in a moment that celebrated the enduring legacy of one of rock’s most influential figures.

Further underscoring his breakout year, Yungblud earned his second UK Number 1 album of 2025 with One More time, his collaborative EP with Aerosmith, out now via Capitol Records.

In the States, the release became his Top 10 debut on the Billboard 200 and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums and Indie Store Album Sales charts, while also landing at No. 2 on Vinyl Albums and No. 3 on Top Album SalesOne More Time also landed  at Top 5 across Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. Most recently, “Wild Woman (Lainey Wilson Version)” was released, featuring YungbludAerosmith, and GRAMMY® Award-winning singer-songwriter and actress Lainey Wilson, offering an electric new version of the track from the EP (LISTEN). Listen to One More Time HERE.  The EP is available digitally and as limited-edition vinyl, CD, and cassette HERE.

Following a massive North American headline tour this past year, Yungblud announced that he will be returning to North American shores in 2026 for a 24-date headline run. He will also embark on a sold out 2026 arena tour in the UK in April. Visit https://www.yungbludofficial.com for more information.

Earlier this year, Yungblud released his fourth studio album IDOLS on Locomotion/ Island Records, his most ambitious body of work to date, IDOLS is the first installment of a double album (with the release date of part two to be announced) and marks an exciting coming of age for the 28-year-old artist whose last two albums went to number one in the UK, broke into the Billboard top 100. The first single ‘Hello Heaven, Hello’ broke the internet and the mold of the traditional single, with its full 9 minutes and six seconds being premiered on BBC Radio 1 and widespread airplay across the U.S. to follow. The raucous follow-up, ‘Lovesick Lullaby’ was described as “combining Liam Gallagher’s sneer with Beach Boys’ harmonies” and “uniquely Yungblud” by the BBC.
