ADAM BLACKSTONE & FANTASIA SHARE THE VISUAL TO “SUMMERTIME”
Award-winning music director and bassist Adam Blackstone has collaborated with Fantasia for a new rendition of “Summertime” out now via BASSic Black Entertainment Records / Anderson Music Group / EMPIRE. The track was performed by Fantasia on American Idol and then recorded for her 2004 debut album Free Yourself. The original was composed in 1935 by George Gershwin. The new “Summertime” which has a fresh approach curated by Blackstone, comes with an accompanying visual of a black tie performance where Fantasia’s vocals carry into Blackstone’s signature bass solo which is expressed by interpretative jazz dance.
“Summertime” is Blackstone’s first musical release following his debut album Legacy – which reached No. 1 on multiple charts and received a Grammy-Award nomination for “‘Round Midnight” featuring Jazmine Sullivan. He followed up with the album Legacy: The Instrumental Jawn which also received a Grammy Nomination, and his latest A Legacy Christmas featured Boyz II Men, KeKe Palmer, Bj The Chicago Kid and more.
