ÁLVARO DÍAZ KICKS OFF 33-CITY OMAKASE TOUR THIS WEEK, BRINGING A NEW GENERATION OF PUERTO RICAN ARTISTS ALONG FOR THE RIDE
3X Latin GRAMMY nominated Puerto Rican star, Álvaro Díaz, is set to kick off his ambitious 33-city OMAKASE Tour, bringing his immersive live show to stages across Latin America and the U.S., while using the tour as a platform to spotlight a new generation of artists from his native island.
For the tour, Díaz curated a rotating cast of up-and-coming Puerto Rican artists, giving different artists from the island the opportunity to introduce their music to new audiences across the Americas. The cast of openers includes Melodie, Papi Sousa, AvilaWTF & Yensanjuan, Matt Louis, and Lockward. The lineup underscores Díaz’s commitment to creating space for Puerto Rican talent and helping build a global audience for the next generation coming out of the island.
The OMAKASE Tour follows the release of Díaz’s critically acclaimed album ‘OMAKASE’ which has amassed +250 million global streams to date. The tour begins this Friday, August 28th in Santiago, Chile, before moving through Peru, Colombia, Central America, Mexico, and the United States.
Already generating major demand across Latin America and the U.S., with sold-out dates in Peru and Colombia, including Bogotá’s Movistar Arena, where a second date has been added following overwhelming demand. The tour has also sold-out dates in Mexico, Guatemala, New York City and Miami, underscoring Díaz’s rapidly expanding international fanbase.
