Angie McMahon starts her Making it Through the World Tour in Chicago and leaves the people of the city healed. From the beautifully emotional start with first act of the night Mimi Gilbert, the audience is automatically tuned in to the type of night they all were in store for there.
Mimi’s wonderful voice and storytelling through each song pivots the audience towards the front of stage as she begins her set. She sets the tone as she takes the audience through her journeys in life as well as bringing a lighthearted vibe too. At one point in the show she recollects just hours before the flight to the city waking up in a heatwave dazed, then just hours later standing in front of an amazing audience and jokingly states she is under the best stage lighting as well. She brings the audience back as she performed her final song of the night leaving everyone once again stunned by her amazing vocals and talent with the guitar.

Angie McMahon opened her set with a song off her second album titled Fireball Whiskey. As she’s performing the crowd sings along word for word bringing the noise to the venue but a very soothing sound. She and her band then go on to play the rest of her fan favorites with an energetic and spirited performance. Angie’s talent not only vocally but instrumentally had the crowd amazed at what they were witnessing before their eyes. Angie later on interacts with the audience members as some vocalize their love for her or just thanking her for what she had done for them in their life. Notably at one point she catches a fan specifically holding a sign that reads “Your songs helped me let go”.
