ARTHUR HILL RELEASES NEW SINGLE ‘ORANGE WINE’
Hot on the heels of his Arthway Round the World 2027 Headline Tour announcement earlier this week, fast-rising London singer/songwriter Arthur Hill has released his new single ‘Orange Wine’ – a vibrant, danceable track alongside an accompanying music video.
Driven by a bold, punchy pop beat, ‘Orange Wine’ sees Arthur play with individuality and identity, unpacking a desire to stand out within the monotony of modern dating. The single’s tongue-in-cheek lyrics poke fun at the way a prospective partner might categorize him based on his tattoos, clothes, and love for the titular drink. Arthur leans into it with his signature comedic flair, taking ownership of clichés, while calling into question whether people can be truly original in the contemporary world of trends and aesthetic uniformity. The music video, directed by RELTA, depicts Arthur alongside a lineup of peers of nearly identical styling to himself, as he attempts to charm a love interest by asserting his individuality and uniqueness. It’s a wry, self-deprecating dig at his appearance, in keeping with Arthur‘s approach to never take himself too seriously, even when there’s real feeling behind the humor.
2026 has been a landmark year for Arthur, who climbed from previously conquered venues including the Electric Ballroom and O2 Academy Brixton all the way to headlining Wembley Arena, becoming one of the first artists in history to do so without having yet released a debut album. Arthur immortalized the experience through the release of the single ‘Careless Whisper (Live From Wembley Arena)’ in July – his emotionally charged cover of George Michael‘s classic. Originally performed as a surprise on the night, the moment went viral online, arriving officially due to overwhelming fan demand. Arthur has only continued to reinforce his live prowess, making his mark on the Main Stage at Reading & Leeds Festival last month. Arthur recently announced his Arthway Around the World tour, which will include headlining stops in The UK & Ireland, North America, New Zealand, Australia next year – dates below.
At its core, ‘Orange Wine’ is about the futility of judging others on isolated traits rather than character. Alongside ‘Careless Whisper (Live From Wembley Arena)‘, Arthur’s new single also follows on from previous releases, ‘Working On It‘ and ‘Hot Sprite‘, with each release further cementing Arthur as one of pop’s sharpest, most self-assured new voices.
