Atlanta Life and Goodr Hosted Pop-Up Grocery Market Providing Free Holiday Groceries to 200 Atlanta Families

Atlanta Life Insurance Company partnered with Goodr on Friday, Dec. 19, to host a Pop-Up Grocery Market that provided free holiday groceries to 200 Atlanta families at 2491 M.L.K. Jr. Drive SW.

The event offered families a range of essential grocery items, including fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products, beverages, turkeys, and other holiday staples. The initiative helped bridge the food insecurity gap during the holiday season by ensuring families had access to nutritious food with dignity and ease.

In addition to groceries, each participating family received a $25 gift card donated by Jay “Jeezy” Jenkins through his Street Dreamz Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting underserved communities with a focus on youth empowerment, education, health, and economic opportunity.

“Atlanta is home for us, and partnerships like this show what’s possible when organizations come together with care and intention,” said Jasmine Crowe-Houston, founder and CEO of Goodr. “We were grateful to Atlanta Life for their continued commitment to the community and to Jay ‘Jeezy’ Jenkins and the Street Dreamz Foundation for helping us support families in a way that respected their needs during the holidays.”

The Street Dreamz Foundation, founded in 2001 by Jenkins, is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports programs centered on education, health and wellness, entrepreneurship, and mentorship, including efforts to eliminate food deserts and expand access to healthy food.

The Pop-Up Grocery Market reflected Goodr’s ongoing mission to “Feed More. Waste Less.” by addressing food insecurity through strategic partnerships and community-driven solutions.
