ATLANTA TRAP ICON HOODRICH PABLO JUAN RELEASES NEW SINGLE “FIRST ROUND DRAFT PICK”

Atlanta trap heavyweight Hoodrich Pablo Juan returns with his new single, “First Round Draft Pick”, featuring Traplord Slim3 and produced by Hoodrich Keem. Arriving during NBA Draft week, the release taps into one of sports’ biggest moments, using draft night as the perfect backdrop for Pablo’s latest street anthem. The single is available now on all streaming platforms via EMPIRE.

Pablo first teased the record by dropping the official video on NBA Draft Day before releasing the song across DSPs. The rollout plays naturally into the theme, with Pablo comparing his rise to being the first name called on draft night. Throughout the track, he delivers bars about money, success, and staying at the top with the effortless confidence that has become his trademark.

The official video leans into the song’s concept with a comedic twist, opening with a parody of the Money World Draft, in which the commissioner, Adam Gold, announces Pablo as the first overall pick. From there, the visual follows Pablo through mock press conferences, his jersey presentation, and life in a lavish mansion, with stacks of cash covering the marble floors and beautiful women. The tongue-in-cheek visual celebrates the feeling of finally getting the recognition and success that comes after years of putting in the work.

With “First Round Draft Pick,” Hoodrich Pablo Juan continues to show why his influence still runs deep throughout today’s trap scene. The record is another reminder of the style, consistency, and authenticity that helped shape a generation of Atlanta rap.

Born in Newark, New Jersey, and raised in East Atlanta, Hoodrich Pablo Juan rose from humble beginnings to become a key figure in the city’s trap scene. He began his rap career in 2014 with the single “Go Get Money” and a feature on Peewee Longway’s “African Diamonds,” before releasing his breakout mixtape Designer Drugz, which helped define his melodic trap sound and caught the attention of Gucci Mane, leading to his signing with 1017 Eskimo. Over the years, he’s released standout projects including Designer Drugz 3, DMV, and BLO: The Movie, earning collaborations with Young Thug, Gunna, Quavo, Migos, Chief Keef, Lil Yachty, and Lil Uzi Vert. His viral hit “We Don’t Luv Em” cemented his place as a staple in Atlanta’s underground scene. Known for his distinctive tone, luxury-laced bars, and effortless mix of street grit and elegance, Hoodrich Pablo Juan continues to shape the trap genre as he steps into a powerful new chapter.
