AVERY ANNA RELEASES HEARTBREAKING AND POIGNANT NEW TRACK “girl next door”

Featured on Forthcoming Debut Album, Breakup Over Breakfast, Due July 19

Newcomer Avery Anna details a very personal experience growing alongside the “girl next door”, whose life was tragically much different than her own. Avery was moved to write the song alone in her kitchen one night after reading several hard-hitting fan letters that spurred on memories of her childhood neighbor.

“I wrote this song by myself while I was in between shows,” Avery shared. “I was thinking about my childhood best friend, and everything she has overcome in her life, and the way that we were able to lean on each other growing up. I’ve recently been very grateful for the female friendships in my life, especially when I am on the road and you guys show up to hear me sing my songs and pour my heart out. I see that same friendship in you guys that I did in her. I hope that this song brings you that same peace and closure.”

The track will be included on her forthcoming debut album, Breakup Over Breakfast, on July 19 via Warner Music Nashville.

A vibrant talent with an expressive pen, she’s earned recognition for a nuanced lyricism well beyond her 20 years that she couples with a dynamic, piano-forward sound. Amazon Music, Apple Music, Pandora, Spotify and YouTube have all named the talented Arizona native an Artist to Watch in the few short years since she began her music career by documenting herself singing in an acoustic-friendly, claw-foot bathtub. Avery’s 2022 debut EP, Mood Swings, served as a seven-song introduction featuring the Gold-certified viral hit, “Narcissist.” She performed the breakthrough track as a first-time nominee on the 2023 CMT Music Awards, before debuting her all-too-relatable empowerment anthem “Self Love” on NBC’s TODAY.

Fans will have a chance to catch Avery multiple times this weekend for CMA Fest 2024, beginning with a Spotify House performance on Saturday (6/8) followed by an appearance at Riverfront Stage on Sunday morning (6/9). Having quickly become an in-demand touring artist, she has opened for Cole Swindell, Jordan Davis, BRELAND, Chase Rice and more, both across the United States and abroad.
