BABYCHIEFDOIT SHARES NEW SINGLE “RAMBO” – OUT NOW
Fresh off a standout performance at Rolling Loud Orlando this past weekend, Chicago artist BabyChiefDoit has just shared a new single, “RAMBO” –– out now, alongside an accompanying music video. Arriving as another offering from the youngest disciple of Chicago drill, “RAMBO” is a fast-paced track that includes a playful twist and interpolation on the “I Don’t Know But I’ve Been Told” military chant. The accompanying video features BabyChiefDoit as a military general, commanding his troops throughout the song. “RAMBO” follows a momentous 2025 for BabyChiefDoit that saw him release a slew of successful singles, including the viral self-produced hit “WENT WEST” (140M+ Streams), its subsequent Genius Open Mic performance, being selected as a 2025 XXL Freshman, made his festival debut via his Summer Smash Performance in his hometown of Chicago (where he premiered “WENT WEST”, leading to his debut on the Billboard charts where it debuted at #89 on the Hot 100, and has since peaked at #71.) He was also crowned as Billboard‘s September Hip-Hop Rookie of the Month, was featured on “Drapetomania” (5M+ Streams) off of Chance the Rapper‘s STAR LINE album and capped the year off being named one of Stereogum‘s 40 Best New Artists of the year –– all after being named one of COMPLEX‘s 25 Rappers To Watch In 2025, BabyChiefDoit effectively spent the rest of the year living up to the title and emerging as a clear-cut leader of the new Chicago generation, backed by a steady stream of energetic releases and unfiltered lyricism.
Through it all, BabyChiefDoit has proved he’s more than just a student of Drill –– he embodies the genre, making it a part of his identity and is carrying the torch for the new generation of Chicago Hip-Hop. Early singles like “The Viper” (120M+ Streams), “6ix Times 2Day” (30M+ Streams), and “Snooze You Lose” (40M+ Streams) laid the groundwork for his grassroots following, drawing attention to his unique sound that bridges the gap between Chicago Drill and Southern Trap. Tracks like “Look Up” and “EBGDITB” (35M+ Streams) off his 2024 debut mixtape, ANIMALS ONLY, demonstrate his ability to blend chaotic beats with relentless, pedal-to-the-metal raps, while songs like “Drowned” add a layer of emotional depth through his sing-rap delivery. His creative approach, from his apocalyptic beats to his lyrical rawness, have led to collabs with the likes of PlaqueBoyMax and Nino Paid on “Cooln” (24M+ Streams), and Chance the Rapper on “Drapetomania” (5M+ Streams). As he continues to build his name, BabyChiefDoit is bringing the sound of Chicago to a global audience while staying true to his roots in the process.
